Even

a

NAIL

is worth

savin~.'

The need is urgent. 31h million tons of scrap

metal must reach the steel mills every month to

keep them at capacity production, turning out

steel for implements of war. Industry supplies

two-thirds of this. One-third must come from

American homes, farms, and offices. There is no

other source. Go over your place ogain. Don't

let even the smallest piece of metal escape your

vigilance-nails, wire, keys, ash

t~ays,

coat

hangers, old tools, tire rims, fences that can be

torn down. And see to it yourself that the scrap

you collect reaches a salvage depot. Americans

have no more vital war duty.
