WAYS TO ORDER

YOUR CORRECT SIIOE SIZE

1

Tell us your shoe size •• length and width .• if you know it

For men and women only-not for children.

(For children, use 4-point

measuring system.) Make sure that shoes you order are sold in your

particular size and width.

If

you have worn a particular size or type

of shoe comfortably, you will certainly find it satisfactory and con–

venient to order the same size in your new shoes.

or

2

Give us all numbers in your shoe

For men and women only-not for children. Just

write on your order all

the numbers and marks you find in the lining of a comfortable old shoe

... whether you bought it at Sears or not ... and your new Sears shoes

will fit just as comfortably. Be sure to include any dashes that occur,

as they sometimes indicate half sizes.

or

3

Use Sears Scientific 4-point measuring system

For men, women, older boys, girls and

children ... Take a piece of blank pa–

per large enough to fit under your foot

... an ordinary kitchen knife ... and

a sharp pencil. Sit on

a

choir and let

the foot which gives you the most trou–

ble rest naturally and without moving

on the piece of paper as shown. Do not stand as this will spread the foot

and result in an incorrect measurement. Our measurements allow for

normal spread of foot when standing.

Mark this piece of paper as show11

in the four illustrations below.

Hove someone else hold the knife

straight up ond down at the tip of

your longest toe os shown in Point

Number

1

above, and make a mark

with the pencil along the outside

edge of the point of the knife.

Next, have the knife blade pieced

at

back of the heel, os shown in

Point Number

3

above, and make

another mark along the outside

edge of the blade. Be sure thot the

knife is held straight up ond down.

part),

as shown in Point

Number

2 above,

and

again

make

a

mork

with

the pencil along

the

outside

edge of the blade.

And last, hove knife

blode placed

at widest port of the outside of your

foot, as

shown in Point Number

4.

This gives us your exact foot meas·

urement so

do

not send

us

pencil

outlines of your foot.

You now will have a piece of paper with four pen–

cil marks on it as shown at the right. Enclose this

piece of paper with your order blank (if ordering

more than one pair, send diagram for each with

catalog number noted). Sears 4-Point Foot Meas–

urement gives us all the

informa~ion

we need to

determine your correct shoe size.
