Shop through this Christmas Book, your Sears General Catalog and
Midseason Book now. List all the things you want on the enclosed order
blank. However,

paper will do.
· Please be sure to print or write plainly your full name and complete
address, including rural route and box number
if
you live on a rural
route. Then give us the catalog number, quantity, name of each item,
color, size, price, shipping weight, and any special information or meas–
urements asked for in the description of the item you are ordering.
Add the shipping weights of items you are ordering, and change
ounces to full pounds (16 ounces to the pound).

you send too much, every cent extra will be promptly

You pay only the exact postage needed to ship your order.

C.O.D. MAIL ORDERS
Unless there is a real need for C.O.D. service, we urge you to enclose
money order or check with your mail order, thus avoiding· the ·extra
expense of shipping C.O.D.. which would cause you to lose part .of
the savings in buying by. mail from Sears. On parcel post C.O.D. ship–
ments, in addition to the price of the merchandise and parcel post
charges, you pay a C.O.D. collection fee which is an extra charge the
post office makes for handling C.O.D. shipments. The post office also
charges you a money order fee for forwarding payment to us. For ex–
ample, on a $6.00 C.O.D. order you would pay the post office a 40-cent
C.O.D. collection fee and a 15-cent money order fee in addition to the
regular parcel post charge. Save this extra expense by including the total
remittance with your order.
We do not ship C.O.D. orders:-For merchandise that is cut, en–
graved, printed, or made to special order. For merchandise that
is
shipped direct from one of our factories. For merchandise to be shipped
to foreign countries. For merchandise to anyone other than the person
sending us the order. For seeds and perishable nursery goods.

from any Sears catalog-by mail, by phone or through one of our
catalog sales offices. To be sure that all of your orders will be cor–

order under one name, preferably that of the head of the household–
and that this name be written the same way each time ,you order-for
example "John T. Jones" (always using full name).
The color pages in this catalog reproduce the actual colors of the
merchandise as faithfully as is possible with modern high speed printing

colors may vary slightly in shade from the actual colors of the mer–
