Down through theJJears, people have

..

because of the imaginative products and

ideas that dreams are made of

This Suit of Armor of

Toledo steel is copied from

the period of Charles V

For just a brief moment in history, the

100 years between the development of the

longbow in the 14th century and the can–

non in the ISth century, knights clad in

shining plate-armor stood as invincible

champions on the battlefields of Europe.

It was then that the craft of the armorer

flourished as never before or since.

The achievements of these skilled crafts–

men were truly remarkable, for they

created plate armor that was hammered

so thin a complete suit weighed as little

as 3S pounds .. that was designed with

such skill an arrow shot from a longbow

would deflect harmlessly away regardless

of where it hit the armor .. and that had

such beauty and simplicity of form it has

been described as "sculpture in steel".

Unhappily, most of this original armor

has been lost or destroyed through the

years. And the few authenticated antiques

that do exist are valued up to $100,000.

But thanks to the skill of the world

famous metalsmiths of Toledo, Spain,

we are able to bring to you this Suit of

Armor, with flat-blade sword over 3 feet

long, that is an exact and rare copy of the

ones used 600 years ago.

Hammered and forged of the finest steel.

True in weight and scale to the original.

And so accurate in every detail that it

could actually be worn. Standing about 7S

inches high, it makes an impressive add i–

tion to Mediterranean or Provincial fur–

nishings. Sent fully assembled and mounted

on a base as shown. Instructions for care

and preservation

includ~ .

Sent prepaid from New York to all
