HOW TO ORDER
Shop through this catalog now. List all the things you want on one of
our order blanks. Print, or write plainly, your name and complete
address. If you live on a rural route, include route number, box number.
and any other helpful delivery information. For more efficient service. all
members of same household should use same name each time they order.
So that we can give·you satisfaction every time you order, please
give us catalog number, quantity, name of each item, color, pattern, finish ,
size, price, shipping weight and any special information asked for in the
description of the item-each time you order.
On cash orders add up the shipping weights of all the items you are
ordering and change ounces to pounds (16 ounces to a pound). You'll
find parcel post rates below; other helpful shipping information (such as .
Railway Express rates and estimated freight rates) in our Big Book.
On Sears Credit Terms orders, we ship prepaid and charge your
account.
The best ways to send money are by post office money order, express
money order, by bank draft or check. Don't send currency or postage
stamps. Your mail carrier will buy a post office money order for you
if you live on a rural route. You can also get a money order at your
post office or from your local express agent.
IMPORTANT ABOUT PRICES
You always get our lowest prices . ._if the price of any item in this catalog
is reduced in another current Sears Catalog, we will fill your order at the
lower price and return every penny of the difference to you. Regardless
of which Sears Catalog you order from, you always get the benefit of
the lowest current catalog prices.
Should the Federal. State or Local Governments increase or impose
additional taxes after this book goes to press, we reserve the right to
add such taxes to the prices shown. On the other hand, if any of the exist–
ing taxes are reduced or terminated while this catalog is in effect, we
shall adjust our prices accordingly.
Prices in this catalog apply only to orders placed by mail, telephone,
. telegraph or in person at a Sears Catalog Sales Office. Retail Store
Catalog Sales Department or in one of Sears Affiliated stores.
CREDIT TERMS
When ordering on Sears Credit Terms (see pages 284 to 286). check the
proper square at the bottom of order blank. Have head of the household
answer the questions on the back and sign his or her name. If you are
adding on to an Easy Payment or a revolving Charge Account. show
your account number and the name of the store carrying your account.
C.0.D. MAIL ORDERS
For economy's sake we urge you to send a money order or check with
your mail order, or to use Sears Credit Terms. On parcel post C.O.D.
shipments, the Post Office charges you a C.O.D. collection fee. They
also charge you a money order fee for sending payment to us.
We do not ship C.O.D. orders for live animals or birds, perishable
goods of for merchandise cut, engraved, printed. or made to order; for
merchandise shipped direct from factory or shipped to foreign countries
or to anyone other than person sending order.
Sears will ship merchandise anywhere you wish
in this Country or to many Foreign Countries
Just order from this or any other Sears Catalog-by mail or in person–
al the Sears unit near you, and give us your shipping instructions.
We promptly handle orders to be shipped to any state and we main–
tain a complete Export Department devoted exclusively to overseas
shipments. Complete documentation, packing, crating, insurance and all
other details are handled at minimum cost.
We can ship to dozens of countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa,
Asia and the Near East, including A.P.O. and F.P.O. addresses overseas.
Keep in mind that it may take 30 to 60 days for an order to reach man~·
countries even after it is approved and accepted for shipment.
If merchandise you order is prohibited for shipment by law or presents
special problems. we will contact you. Contact a Sears Catalog Sales
Office, Catalog Order Plant or the Catalog Sales Department in a Sears

HOW TO FIGURE PARCEL POST CHARGES
Packages weighing up to 70 pounds and measuring not more than 100 inches in combined length and girth can be sent by parcel
post in all parcel post zones. except when mailed at a First Class Post Office and addressed for city delivery to another First Class Post
Office. Catalog numbers followed by "K" (as 30 N 1412K) cannot be mailed from a First Class Post Office to a First Class Post Of–
fice for city delivery in the 3rd to 8th wne. (This does not apply to Rural Route addresses.) Catalog numbers followed by "L"
