King Charles IX ofFrance would have been royally
pleased
to
have this pool table in his 16th century
court (where pocket billiards first flourished).
But, alas, he had only a crude triangular table
without cushions or even rails. Bank shots were
unknown and a kingly fortune was probably
spent replacing fragile ivory balls that had rolled
off the edge. But today, the Knight gives you the
most modern features available on a pool table,
plus the elegance of Charle's court. The massive
look of this table is accented by wrought-iron-like
ring fittings on both sides and a regal brass–
plated heraldic shield on each end. And, it's as
strong as it looks.
The 3-inch thick honeycomb-core bed is guar–
anteed to stay flat for 3 years. Hardwood cabinet
is finished in cherry. Burn and stain resistant
rails. Wedge-lock legs add strength. Top quality
100% wool green billiard cloth. Black, leather–
grained vacuum formed plastic corner protec–
tors. End ball return. Includes two 57-inch cues;
