The Facts about Men's Clothing Sizes
HOW TO MEASURE
1. Have someone take your measurements.
2. Keep tape straight and snug, but not tight.
3. Measure over a comfortable, well-fitting shirt.
4. Give all measurements requested.
5. Be sure garments you want come in your size.
Important: If item description gives a garment's size in numbers,
state the size in numbers when you order. If sizes are listed S, M, L,
etc., state the letter size.
• Are You "Between" Sizes?
A. Chest: measure over bot–
tom of shoulder blades, under
arms, over fullest part of chest.
B. Waist: measure over shirt
(not trousers), at height you
wear trousers. Keep one finger
between tape and body.
C. Seat: over a comfortably
fitting pair of pants (with
pockets emptied), measure
around the fullest part of the
hips.
D. Trouser Inseam: lay
well-fitting trousers flat;
crease at back and front. Lift
one trouser leg; measure
from crotch seam along in–
seam to length preferred.
E. Neck: on a well-fitting
shirt, measure from center of
collar button to far end of col–
lar buttonhole.
F. Sleeve: measure from
center back of shirt collar, be–
hind elbow, to far end of cuff.
If your measurements fall between sizes, order the next LARGER
SIZE that is listed in the description of the item.

FULL-FIT SLACKS are designed for the mature man and the
man who wants extra room and comfort. Forthe man whose seat is 7to
8 in. larger than his waist. Have roomy
fit
in seat, thigh, and leg areas.
Slacks will rest at your natural waistline. About 17 in. at bottoms.
REGULAR-FIT SLACKS are designed for the average figure,
and are trimmer in seat, thigh, and leg areas, but not tight. For the
man whose seat is 7 to 8 in. larger than his waist. Slacks will rest
just below natural waistline. Dress slacks about 16Y. in. at bottoms.
Casual slacks are slightly more tapered at knees and bottoms.
SLIM-FIT SLACKS are designed for the slim young man-for
a close and narrow fit. For the man whose seat is 6 to 7 in. larger
than his waist. Slacks will rest on hip bones or lower-according
to style. About 14Y. in. at bottoms.
