CB.INFORMATION-READ BEFORE ORDERING

Operation: Citizens' Band 2-way radios (transceivers) are designed to provide instant communi–

cations from almost any location .. no special skills or technical knowledge is needed. DC-pow·

ered (mobile) units install in any outdoor vehicle with appropriate battery system.

License: You must obtain an FCC license to operate CB equipment. You must be over 1Byears

of age and (subject to change) pay a S4 fee. No exam required. License good for 5 years and

renewable. License can apply to more than one unit. permits units to be operated by owner or

employees or immediate family. All our CB radios are FCC-type accepted and include license

application.

Channel Capacity: There are 23 channels available for use by CB operators. Some channels

are restricted by the FCC for use between operators on the same license. Channel 9 is reserved

for emergency communications only.

Range: Our units have maximum power allowed by law and will transmit further than units with

lower wattage. Range will vary and is strongly affected by terrain and by height and gain of your

antenna. Combination of skyscrapers and high CB traffic may hamper effective communication

even over short distances. You must use an antenna regardless of your location .. order at right.
