REGARDING OUR CATALOG PRICES

Following the policy m effect since our founding m 1886. prices quoted m

Sears catalogs do not include (unless stated otherwise) charges for handling

and sh1pp1ng of goods from our Catalog Merchandise D1stnbut1on Center to a

Sears catalog selling umt for p1ck.-up. or for delivery to your home. The ship–

ping and handling charges may differ dependmg on method of sp1ppmg. Infor–

mation on how shipping weights are determined and details on shipping and

handling charges for shipping by USPS/UPS or non-Sears truck can be ob–

tained from the yellow customer mformat1on pages of our Big Book. Spec1f1c

details on charges for handling and shipping to a Sears catalog selfing unit for

pick-up or redelivery (1f available) can be obtained from the unit. either at the

counter or over the phone

ABOUT OUT-OF-STOCK MERCHANDISE

We make every effort to stock quant1t1es of merchandise which we ant1c1pate

will be suff1c1ent to hll orders until the exp1rat1on of this catalog. Since this

catalog had to be prepared long before 1t reached you. and unexpected cir–

cumstances beyond our control can occur between preparation and exp1ra–

t1on. occasionally an item you order may not be available when you order it. If

an item you order should happen to be out-of-stock. here's what we'll do·

We will notify you as promptly as possible about the out-of-stock s1tua–

t1on and give you our best 1nformat1on as to when a new supply 1s

expected

we don't ant1c1pate being able to fill your order within 3 0

days. we will ask you to tell us whether you stlfl want the item when 1t

is again available Naturally, 1f you tell us yes. we will charge you no

more than the price m effect when you originally ordered.

2. At times we may send you an appropriate substitute item of equal or

bener value at the same price as your original order so that we may

serve you faster. If the item 1s not satisfactory. you may. of course.

return 1t for a full refund. including sh1pp1ng and handling charges

3. If an appropriate substitute for the out-of-stock item 1s not available

and 1t appears that add1t1onal stock cannot be obtained from our sup–

C.O.D orders are accepted only for merchandise sent from a Catalog Merchan–

dise D1stnbut1on Center to a Sears Unit. You may then pick up your order or

arrange with your Sears unit for redelivery to your home (1f available).

If you request that your order be sent directly to you via USPS/UPS or non–

Sears truck. you must include a money order. check or use your Sears Credit

Account.

Nor do we ship C.O.D. orders for merchandise cut. engraved. printed or made

to order. for merchandise shipped direct from factory or shipped to foreign

countries or to anyone other than the person sending the order

UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE (USPS)/

UNITED PARCEL SERVICE (UPS) SHIPPING INFORMATION

Service and parcel size restrictions limit our use of both the United States Postal

Service (USPS) and United Parcel Service (UPS). For parcels qualifying for ei–

ther USPS or UPS shipping. Sears will determine which method to use. With

either shipping system. the table of Sears Shipping and Handling Charges for

Orders Shipped by USPS/UPS applies.

USPS Restrictions-If you are served by a First Class Post Office (check with

your Postmaster or Carner). the parcel maximum weight 1s 40 pounds and may

not exceed 84 inches-length and girth combined. All other Post Offices may

deliver parcels up to 70 pounds-not exceeding 100 m. length and girth com–

bined. "L" suffix items (as 3-64800L) cannot be shipped by USPS to a First

Class Post Office for city delivery.

UPS Restrictions-The parcel maximum weight 1s 50 pounds and the maxi–

mum size 1s 108 inches-length and girth combined. This method of shipping is

not available to P.O Box addresses. nor 1s 1t available on shipments within

certain states.

To determine shipping and handling charges for USPS/UPS parcels,

first find your Parcel Zone 1n the table below. Next. add the weights of the items

that do not have a "C" or "L" suffix and find the charge for the total weight in

the table below for your Parcel Zone Figure separate charges for the weight of

each item ending with "'C" or "L" since each must be shipped separately.

On cash orders include enough money for shipping and handling with your

order since we must prepay parcels.

On Credit Orders. Sears computes charges and adds them to your account.
