For your information ...
BFO (Beat Frequency Oscillator) MODE: A basic metal-finding circuit, this
mode produces a constant audio tone that rises in pitch whenever any
metal target is found.
TR (Transmitter-Receiver) MODE: An all-metal mode like above but pro–
duces an audible tone only when a metal object is found.
DISCRIMINATE MODE : Used w ith the TR mode, the discriminate circuit
permits cancellation of signals for bottle caps, pop tops, foil, etc. In effect.
the discriminate circuit enables the detector to distinguish between " junk"
items and real treasure!
VLF (Very Low Frequency) MODE: This too is an all-metal mode, but its
speci.alelectronic circuitry pinpoints targets at a much greater depth than is
possible with the TR mode. Because it is an all-metal mode, it cannot
distinguish between "junk" ana valuables.
SPD (Synchronous Phase Discrimination) MODE: A new circuit that com–
bines the last three modes above. The result: a mode that distinguishes
between " junk" and treasure at the maximum depths possible!
