Power rating (example: 1OX) is

how many times closer objects look. Objective lens size, in millimeters (example:

50mm) is the diameter of the lens farthest from the eye. The larger the lens. the

brighter the image. Field of view, measured at 1000 yards, is the width of the area

you see. For telescopes, interchangeable eyepieces provide varying power. Tele–

scopes are primarily for sky viewing. Limited land viewing with lower-powered

eyepieces and erecting eyepiece (included where noted). Equatorial mounts are

for advanced astronomical applications.
