TRAFFIC RADAR TECHNOLOGIES:
Traffic Radar Monitoring
was first approved by the F.C.C. in the mid-1970's and began with the
X–
Band.
Later, as more bands were developed, further monitoring of
expanded bands
K, Ka, Wideband Ka and Super Wideband Ka
was
approved. Today this monitoring technology has spread to a new field.
Laser,
the latest traffic control technology, uses a beam of near infrared
light that is similar to the signal from an infrared remote control. Laser
signals can not be detected with conventional 3-band (X, K, Ka or SWKa)
radar detectors.
