The concept of convection cooking

is

not new . . . chefs

and fine restaurants have used convection ovens for

years. There are good reasons for the convection oven's

popularity with professional cooks; food looks and

tastes better when cooked in a convection oven.

Also,

with most

types

of cooking, food can be cooked at lower

temperatures and for shorter periods of time than with

an

ordinary oven. This

is

all possible because of convec–

tion cooking's unique method of heat distribution.

HOW IT WORKS:

In

an ordinary oven the heated air is

still. The

Sears

Convection Oven has a silent fan which

circulates the heated air throughout the oven chamber.

The air is in constant motion, cooking the food uniform–

ly from all sides and sealing in the natural juices. As a

result. cooking times are generally shorter

a.nd

tempera–

tures lower (so your kitchen stays cooler). Turkeys

don't need basting and there is virtually no spattering.

Frozen foods can be cooked without defrosting.
