When you place your order,
tell us where you'd like it delivered
and we'll tell you when to expect delivery-usually ifs in 2 to 3
working days. You can pick up your order at your nearest
JCPenney Catalog Department. Most items also can be shipped
by UPS or Parcel Post anywhere in the USA. Usually,
UPS will ring your doorbell, then leave the package In a sheltered
area. If this is not convenient, ask for Parcel Post or pick up at a
Catalog Department.
Items with a "C"
in the middle of the number (for example:
X OOOCOOOO A) cannot be shipped by UPS or Parcel Post. You
can pick them up at a Catalog Department or have them
delivered by truck. Pick up in the store is usually less expensive
than trucking.
Hyou're considering having an item trucked,
we'll tell you
how much it will cost when you-place your order. You will need to
be home to accept delivery, so please let us know where we can
call you to arrange delivery. The driver will move the item into a
garage or sheltered area, but he is not responsible for unpacking,
moving the item within your home or setting it up.
Items shipped directly from the factory
take extra time and the
merchandise description gives the estimated delivery time. Most
are sent by UPS directly to you. If a factory-shipped item must be
delivered by truck, the cost is 48¢ a pound with a minimum
charge of $69.
Mailable items
(generally those weighing less than 70 pounds)
can be shipped to Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Puerto Rico,
APO/FPO addresses, the American Virgin Islands, Guam and
other Marianas Islands. For shipping options, review the
enclosed insert or call or write to Customer Service (page 475).
In Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands orders also
can be picked up at a Catalog Department.
